ETF Industry KPI – 6/07/2021

Week of May 31, 2021 KPI Summary

This week, the industry experienced 4 new ETF launches and 2 closures, shifting the 2021 YTD Open-to-Close ratio to 1.86 and total US ETFs to 2,524. It has been another positive week for US ETF total assets up 0.91%. There have not been any major jumps in categories in the past few weeks, but a continued growth in assets, expected revenue, total ETFs, and others. Of the 150 total ETF launches in 2021, 81 of those have been Equity ETFs (54%) which slightly trails its universe average of 60.8%. One notable change has been the number of brands up to 194, +24 YTD and +4 in the past month. Both indexes experienced minimal change this week, Toroso ETF Industry Index was up 1.48% while the S&P Financial Select Sector Index trailed at 1.27%.
